Handwriting Without Tears

One In Christ

TPT – Heather @ Kindergarten Ready Skills, Vanessa at Pre-K Pages

St. Paul’s Lutheran Preschool gives the youngest students a small, close-knit, Christian environment to learn and grow. The aim of the preschool is for each child to be loved and grow in confidence so they can easily transition into the next levels of education. Students are shown and taught how to care for and love each other while participating in a variety of activities. Learning about Jesus doesn’t only happen during Bible storytime but throughout the time at school. Thanking God for food before snack time and praying for someone traveling or sick is just the beginning of laying a strong foundation of faith at this young age.

We believe that God has given your child and every other human marvelous potential for a creative and successful life. Your child’s preschool years are a time of growing in all aspects of life. By the time children are ready to enter Kindergarten, they have already formed many patterns and attitudes that will shape their personality and affect their potential ability to cope successfully in an ever-changing world. The primary goal of this preschool program is to provide an organized Christian environment in which we guide your child as he/she grows spiritually, physically, emotionally, intellectually and socially. The preschool curriculum will include various techniques and materials to assist your child’s development in these areas.

Mrs. Rhonda Thompson teaches Preschool. Mrs. Karen Hartwig serves as a teacher’s assistant. Oversight and assistance are provided by our principal, Mr. Pat Dunklau, in conjunction with the Board of Christian Education of St. Paul’s Lutheran School.

RELIGION

Grade 5-6: Concordia’s Bible History, gives accounts of the Old and New Testament and connects the two with all of the material pointing to Jesus. Students gain a solid foundation of the Bible to prepare for upcoming confirmation and/or seventh and eighth-grade Religion. Grade 7-8: One in Christ is used three times a week, it breaks down the Bible in segments, we do a study of different parts of the Bible; using the Bible to supplement the stories in the workbook. The focus in all this is to help them grow and mature in their faith, while preparing them to interact with the world around them in light of that faith. They also serve as acolytes and screen operators for our weekly chapel services as well as chapel family leaders.
